The Dell G15 5515, released in June 2021, is a portable system that caters to all groups of individuals alike. As of today the product is still being manufactured and can still be purchased in 180 countries at a price range of $1,300 to $4,300. With AMDs newest yearly generation of processors, the Ryzen 5000 series, it offers high-performance computing, gaming, work-related assignments, and more with the Ryzen 7 5800H and the 5600H options. Paired with the very affordable Nvidia GeForce 3050 series, the G15 5515 offers smooth rendering for demanding tasks such as editing and modeling 3D animation.

The creation of the Dell G15 was heavily influenced by Dell’s shift towards integrating AMD’s Ryzen processors, rather than their usual Intel partners. This comes from the very high demand for portable, high-performance systems that can be used for a multitude of tasks without drawbacks. In comparison to the Intel G series, the Ryzen 5000 series offered improvements in many different aspects, specifically power efficiency, multi-core performance, and thermal cooling and management.

Though the Dell G15 5515 has many features, it also has a lot of problems. In the past many users have experienced performance issues due to the CPU and GPU overheating too easily. Another common complaint is the laptop having display issues after a BIOS update. Though it is one of the cheaper laptops on the market, many users have pointed out the poor build quality compared to other premium options. Overall the public opinion of the laptop is not positive and is highly criticized.

The model that came before the Dell G15 5515, the Dell G15 5511, was not that different. The Dell G15 5511 even had a better CPU compared to the Dell G15 5515. The model that came after the Dell G15 5515, the Dell G15 5520, was a much better product compared to its predecessor. The CPU had more cores, the memory was bigger, and the graphic card was better. Overall the Dell G15 5515 is not the best laptop that someone could buy in the Dell G15 series, but it is the cheapest.

The Dell G15 has a modern, minimalist design with a sleek black coat & textured pattern. The appeal of this system is mainly for people who prefer a small build with a more professional look.

It comes with a 15.6 inch display with short bezels. The laptop itself is light and thin; only 0.94 inches thick and weighs roughly 5.4 pounds.

The model number for the Dell G15-5515 is located on the bottom of the laptop, written on a laminated white sheet, as well as in the system’s BIOS, similarly to other laptops.⏎
