The phone is not charging
my phone is not charging even when i am using the new battery and how to resolve it.. i think the charging port is damaged and please help me is repairing that.....kindly send me the repairing formats .....

@logesam the USB port is soldered to the logic board.
To remove it you will have to disassemble your phone. Use this document Samsung-GT-S7562.pdf to disassemble your phone. After that you will have to unsolder the port, find a replacement and then resolder the new port.

Thanks Oldturkey, that is one I had not ran across before and wasn't terribly sure if it was soldered on or not. Being that it isn't that common of a phone, I wouldn't have imagined a replacement port be too easy to find, then a quick Google search proved me wrong. Anywhere from $2-5 and plenty of them.

Hi Logesam, I apologize for not being too familiar with that device in particular. It appears to be very similar to the Galaxy S3 though. When you open it up is the charging port soldered on the main board, or is it a separate component attached by a ribbon cable? If it is truly similar to the S3, it may be easier to repair than you think.

Right, yes I see that from your original post. Since I have not worked on that exact device personally, I'm trying to do some probing questions to see how I can assist. Have you opened the device up yet? Can you tell if the port is soldered on the main board or is a separate component attached by a ribbon cable?
