So, who am I and why am I here? I consider myself just a regular Joe. I am old enough to know better but still believe in trying to save the world and humanity. One device at a time. I love to mentor and to help others, I am into re-purposing and trying to repair anything.
I come from a time and a place where there was never enough money to just replace things or to just go and buy new stuff. Fixing things was not a passion but a necessity. 50 years of fixing, building and yes, breaking things as well, has taught me a lot. During my lifetime I've learned that the only thing that truly matters is how we get along with others; to never prematurely judge people. I do judge people by their actions and not by some preconceived notion. If you are being kind and compassionate toward our environment (people, planet, animal, etc.) you are okay in my book.
I have learned a lot and continue to study and learn new things daily. This enables me to provide some answer on this forum. It enables me to help someone that needs it and it helps to keep things going. All too often we discard stuff just because it is broken and we do not know how to fix it. This puts an incredible strain on our environment and it makes others rich. We all should support organizations like https://repair.org/stand-up/ to fight for our right to repair. It’ll keep our hard earned money in our pockets instead of further feeding the Profit-before-People (Planet) machinery.
“We all want to help one another. Human beings are like that. We want to live by each other's happiness, not by each other's misery. We don't want to hate and despise one another. In this world there is room for everyone, and the good earth is rich and can provide for everyone. “ (Charlie Chaplin in “The Great Dictator”) Totally awesome expression thereof shown here
Ten years on iFixit is a long time. After some debates with family and friends, I’ve made the decision to take a step back and to slow it down a bit but I will continue to support the efforts by everyone put forward on here.

回答“Keyboard letters and numbers: k, i, m, unlock screen 9.”@ray914b you know appear to have a water damaged device. You should treat it that way. The very first step I would take is to disassemble your phone. Use these guides iPhone 11 Pro Repair to help you disassemble your phone. Take a careful and close look at all components and connectors. Truly assess the damage. Look for major corrosion, evaluate the pins in the connectors etc,. Take a look at all connectors as well as cable ends. You will have to remove all the EMI shields. If you do not remove the shields, you are not cleaning the board. Once you got the gross contamination cleaned, use 90%+ isopropyl alcohol and clean your parts some more. For a proper cleaning, use this guide. It was written for an Apple iPhone 3G but it is still pertinent to your phone as well. I can not stress the importance of a good cleaning enough, so do it over and over while replacing the alcohol after each cleaning. Do not use compressed air for the cleaning since that can drive liquid as well as corrosion particles into areas...
回答“Ipad wont turn on but charges”@daniel_svs sounds to be a battery that has been discharged below it’s threshold and is no longer accepting a charge. Replacing the battery should fix this. Identify your iPad and then pick the right model for a guide on how to replace the battery. After that, re-evaluate. iPad 2 Repair
回答“Half of my games freeze when they are read?”@pkbrandon “seem to be read and then freeze at the loading screens. “ could be caused by a dirty laser lens. Use a commercially available laser lens cleaner and see if that works. If not you may have to disassemble it and clean it or you may even have to adjust the lens power (careful with that since if not done right by burn out your laser :-) Nintendo GameCube Optical Laser Lens Replacement Optical Laser Lens Power Adjustment
回答“The screen periodically goes black once very couple of weeks.”will serio right now it reads as if you are saying you have sound but no picture. If so, in a darkened room shine a flashlight beam at an angle against the screen. If you can make out shapes, silhouettes etc, you know you have a failed backlight. That could be a bad power board or bad backlight strips. If you cannot make out anything with the flashlight test then it is possible that this is a mainboard, power board or T-con board error. We would need to see the boards so post some GOOD pictures of those with your QUESTION. Also, verify that your TV is a LG 60LM6450 60inch Full HD 3D LED Television 在已经存在的问题里加入图片
回答“VIZIO P55-F1 TV with backlight issues”Tristan Casanas according to your images this would be a very unusual failure based on the main board or even the power board. The “zoning” pattern is hard to create by those boards. Neither board would be “interested” in turning off and on different zones. This looks very suspicious to actually be a failing LED backlight array. I am not the expert here and your repair person should be, but buyers beware.
回答“Replacing ribbon flex connector”@ntec those numbers are the position of the pins. Number 1 on the connector has to correspond with number 1 on the cable. It is not useful to find a replacement. Since there are no schematics available you would really have to do some tough searches at places like mouser.com digikey.com for something like this to see if you can find a match.
回答“Grey screen but sound works”@og23 grey screen is most likely your backlight turning on. Since you had sound and it stopped working as well my prime suspect to change would be the main board. Of course always check the wiring and all the other boards for any obviously damaged components etc. Also, post some pictures of your boards with your QUESTION so we can see what you see. In particular the main board and the T-con board 在已经存在的问题里加入图片
回答“Flashing green lights on the GR-4N?”@matt89134 apparently this is a failed controller issue. Interestingly enough those are actually hard to find. If you can follow this guide Cuisinart Griddler GR- 4N Knobs Replacement and post some good pictures of the controller boards with your QUESTION. Maybe we can find something that is out of whack :-) 在已经存在的问题里加入图片
回答“Automatically sound goes max!”sami-ul-washek this can actually be an issue with a programmed remote. Let us know which remote you are using and how/if you have it programmed. Try a reset by pushing and holding either the Volume- and Surround button or the Volume+ and Surround button for 3 seconds
回答“Miele Inspira G1180 leaks”@toints the short cycle compared to the regular cycle usually uses extra water and/or extra heat to clean your dishes faster. I wonder if your leak comes somewhere from the drain pump. We really would need to see more off what is going on. Not sure if you can remove the kickplate to see where it is leaking. If so post some pictures of the general area where it is leaking, with your QUESTION. 在已经存在的问题里加入图片 Download the SM from here and see if it gets you at least in the vicinity of making a determination.
