Phone will not turn on

Problems with battery

Confirm that the battery for the Nokia 6010 is fully charged, then attempt to turn the device on. If the problem persists, try replacing the battery with a new one. When rechargeable batteries are used for an extensive period of time, they lose their capability of holding their charge; therefore it needs to be replaced. If the device still does not turn on after the battery replacement then there may be a problem with the power key, logic board, or power button.

Problems with charger connector

The power key is where you plug the AC charger into the phone. Verify that this slot is clean. After confirming this, charge the battery again. If the phone still does not turn on, try replacing the charger connector.

Problems with power button

Confirm that the power button is not stuck and attached to the logic board. If the power button is damaged the device will not turn on and the logic board will need to be replaced.

Problems with logic board

If none of the provided solutions work, then there may be a problem with the logic board. You will need to replace the logic board.

Buttons are sticky or cannot be pushed

Try cleaning the keypad and if the buttons still don't function properly then keypad must be replaced.

There is no image on the display or the display is garbled

Cracked or damaged screen

If the screen is cracked or physically damaged then the LCD screen needs to be replaced.

Soft reset

If the screen is not physically damaged try turning the phone off and back on again.

Logic Board Connections

If the problem still exists, verify that the LCD screen is connected to the logic board securely. If the problems persists, the LCD screen needs to be replaced.

The display has a message regarding the SIM Card

Use this guide to verify the SIM card is not cracked or dirty, and is oriented correctly on the phone.

Phone does not vibrate

Verify the settings on the phone to confirm that the "Vibrate" setting is enabled. If the problem persists, verify that the vibrator is connected to the logic board. If this does not fix the problem then the vibrator needs to be replaced.

Callers cannot hear you

Confirm the phone is not on mute. If this does not fix the problem then inspect the microphone. Verify the microphone is clean, unblocked, and connected to the logic board correctly. If the problem persists replace the microphone.

The phone does not have sound

If the phone does not make any sound confirm that the sound is enabled in the phone settings. If this does not solve the problem then verify the speaker is clean and attached to the logic board correctly. If the problem persists replace the speaker.
