-
-
Vive Pro
a big improvement from the heavy multi-cable ponytail that dangled from the original.
and a huge drawback as that proprietary cable replacement costs a ton of money
-
-
-

-
Atmel SAM G55J 32

-
Cirrus Logic CS47L90
-
Macronix MX25V8035F 8 Mb CMOS闪存
-
-
Macronix MX25L4006E 4 Mb CMOS闪存
On the main connector (input) it is written TE Y181224D1.
I cannot find this ref on TE website. Do you know more about this connector?

Stick with teardowns.
The stereo image is pretty poor. Was this actually taken with stereo offset camera sensors, or one camera you shifted the image in photoshop?
@allthings3d Just a quick Photoshop job we threw together because we thought it was fun. Sorry if we got your hopes up for something more sophisticated :)

Any idea whether the headstrap to the original VIVE could be put on the Pro? I’m a minority, I’m sure, but I hate the deluxe audio strap. There’s a ton more plastic and it feels like my head is suffocating when I tighten it enough to keep it firmly in place. It’s harder to put on and take off. I’d love to remove it and put on the strap from the original.
Where’s the pictures of the back of the board in Step 8? Is it just empty?

And you didn’t open the Link Box either?

What is the part number for the 40 pin connector on the interface board?
I have a Vive Pro where one of the audio cable connectors is broken. The tiny 4 pin one that connects into the headstrap. Do you know where I can get another connector for the cable or a replacement cable? Step 4 in the teardown says its a standard connector but I have been unable to find it. Thanks for any help you can give.
I’ve been looking for a while and have not been able to locate the part anywhere.
I have removed the plastic surround of the connector and soldered the pins in solidly.
Not a perfect solution and it requires seriously steady hands but it works now. Though I would recommend some hot glue or similar to prevent the pins from shifting and touching.
Now just trying to figure out how to get a replacement headphone from HTC.
Has anyone tried to replace the connection of the back piece of the Vive Pro, with the back piece of the Vive?
Basically, are the mechanical connection points shown in step 4 compatible with the comparable connection points on the HTC Vive?
Another way to ask this, would be: is the HTC Vive Deluxe Audio Strap compatible with the Vive Pro?
It isn’t a match, the older mounts are a little different.

This is a 3d printable adapter to allow for the connection of the Deluxe Audio Strap to a vive pro.
I need to get to the screens but I’m stuck on step 9.
I can’t get the Face section to detach. I’m holding the slide button in but cant see what actually stop it sliding off.
Hi there, any idea on how to Repair or replace the microphone ?
It’s not a difficult repair. You only have to get to Step 7.
The problem is that HTC don’t make parts available and it looks like a proprietary part.
If it’s under warranty, send it to them. Otherwise you could try popping it open and hope the fault is that the connector is loose or dirty.
I want to replace a screen from a second-hand Vive Pro I bought but %#*@ the screen is even more expensive of what it cost me (100$), 150$ screen replacement on aliexpress
