@tmb2600 the ports are soldered to the boards. There should be one on the I/O board and one on the motherboard. In either case you will have to disassemble your Flip and remove the board with the failed connector. Then you have to try to source a new connector, unsolder the old on and replace it with a new one. The soldering alone will not be an easy chore but it appears even tougher to find a replacement. Use something like this video at the 4:00 mark to get into it. Post some pictures of your boards so we can see what you see.

Hi @tmb2600 ,

To add to the answer if the faulty USB-C port is on the left side of the laptop, then it is on an I/O board along with the Power button and the headphone jack etc.

The part number for the board for your laptop is 90NB0DF0-R10020.

If you search online using the part number only you will get results for suppliers of the part.

Here's a supplier - example only to give you an idea of the cost of the part and what it looks like.

Have you proved that the battery is OK and that the problem is not the USB-C ports? It seems unusual that both the USB-C ports would be faulty at the same time, unless they have both been physically damaged somehow.

Have you checked that the charger is providing the correct output voltage of 20V DC or tried a different compatible charger and see if it worked OK?

Also here's how to do a battery check to see if it is OK or not:

Open a Crosh Shell (ctrl alt t)

Type "battery_test" and wait 5 minutes for the test to complete.

Also have you seen this from Asus regarding Chromebook battery charging?

Apologies if you have done all this already
