‘'When the power button is pressed, nothing happens on the screen.’’

The battery may be improperly placed into the camera. Check that the battery is properly inserted into the device.

If the device does not turn on, you should replace the battery. Firstly, charge the device to make sure the battery is dead before replacing it.

If the battery is properly inserted and fully charged, and the device still does not power on, the battery itself could be defective. Changing the battery would fix this. The specific battery model for the camera is the EN-EL19 lithium ion battery. The battery replacement is a Lenmar DLZ319N.

The LCD screen is blank when the camera is powered on.

Check to make sure that the device is actually powered on by pressing and holding the power button on top of the camera. A red light should indicate if the camera is powered on.

In order to replace the LCD screen to have a display on the

camera, firstly locate the screws on the bottom and sides

of the camera and unscrew them. Lastly, remove the face

plate from the front of the camera to access the LCD

screen.

Open the battery port covering, which is located on the bottom right side of the camera with the LCD screen facing the user. Slide the cover away from you to open it. Locate the small screws at the bottom and sides of the camera. Remove the screws from the bottom and sides of camera. Remove the face plate from the front of the camera to access the motherboard. Detach the motherboard by unscrews the small screws. Finally, locate the shutter button. Use a small tweezers to gently lift the button off. 


Open the battery port covering, which is located on the bottom right side of the camera with the LCD screen facing the user. Slide the cover away from you to open it. Locate the small screws at the bottom and sides of the camera. Remove the screws from the bottom and sides of camera. Remove the face plate from the front of the camera to access the motherboard. Detach the motherboard by unscrews the small screws. Finally, lift off the lens from the motherboard.

When taking a picture, the flash function does not operate.

The flash setting could simply be not activated. Use the setting navigation wheel that is located on the back of the camera to check if the flash setting is turned on.

If the flash mode is set to on and the flash still not work, the flash component may be damaged and needs to be replaced.

“When I take a picture, it is saved to the camera itself but it cannot be transferred to other devices because it is only saved to the camera.”

The camera could simply not have a place to store the pictures. Check that the memory card is properly inserted by manually inspecting the SD slot, located next to the battery slot on the underside of the camera.

Obtain an SD memory card and put install it into the camera in order to take pictures and easily transfer pictures between the camera and other devices such as a laptop computer.
