Power will not turn on when running on the battery
The battery is connected, but the speak will not turn on
Battery Protection Mode Active
The SoundLink II Speaker goes into Protection Mode, if not used or charged in 2 weeks time. To remedy this, connect the speaker to an A/C outlet power source.
Battery is damaged or not charged
Make sure the battery is fully charged before removing it from the A/C power source. This will ensure the battery has an adequate charge to function.
The battery may be damaged or can no longer function. This can happen over time with general wear and tear. In this case, replace the battery. The following link is a step by step instruction for removing the battery.
Power will not turn on even when connected to a power source
The speaker is connected to the outlet, but the speaker will not turn on
Damaged Outlet
Make sure that the outlet is properly functioning, since sometimes the breaker might be out or the outlet is not installed properly. Use the outlet test button, if there is one, or connect a functioning device to the outlet to confirm the outlet is functional.
Incorrect connection to power source
Make sure the power cord is correctly inserted into the outlet and to the power port in the back of the speaker as some chances the cord will not be set properly.
If the speaker is connected to a surge protector, make sure the surge protector is turned on and properly connected to the outlet. If it still does not work, plug the power cord directly into the outlet.
Damaged or broken charger or cord
If the speaker is still not working properly, the power cord may be damaged due to wear and tear. If this is the case, you will need to replace the power cord.
Speaker indicates a connection, but there is no audio
Speaker and device show a Bluetooth connection, but there is no audio playing
Volume Low Or Muted
If there is no audio playing through the speaker, the volume on the speaker or device may be too low due to manual or automatic volume change. Check the speaker's volume setting and adjust accordingly. If there is still no audio, check to see if the device's audio is low or muted.
Device Not Connected Properly
There may not be any audio playing because the device isn't paired correctly. Check to see if the speaker and the device are correctly paired.
Bluetooth Has Trouble Connecting
The speaker and the device will not pair correctly
Software needs an update and/or reset
First, check to see if the speaker is running the latest software version. Go to the Bose Software Update Center to check if your speaker is up to date in software.
Second, if the speaker is up to date, preform a reset on the speaker and the device.
Third, make sure you are connecting to the right device in the Bluetooth menu.
Bluetooth Is Off
Check to see that the Bluetooth setting are turned on and searching for a device to pair with.
Device is out of range
The speaker's Bluetooth has a limited range. When attempting to pair the devices, make sure that the device is around 6 ft. to the speaker.
Too Many Devices Paired with the Audio Device
If there are many devices paired with the audio device, try to remove a couple paired devices. The audio device may be attempting to pair with a different device.
When attempting to pair the speaker and the audio device, make sure to select the speaker in the audio device's Bluetooth menu.

same with me, when plugged, it only indicate with 3 blinking lights and then its goes off

my bose does play with bluetooth, after a wile it cuts out then back in staggered repeatedly. like mute comes on on its own. batteries charged , the bluetooth range well with in range. it can be ok for a will then begins to cut in and out. can this problem be repaired ? lou 02/25/20

My bose when in operation keeps making a beeping noise like something else os trying to connect to it. there is nothing else in the house hat has been connected to it before.

my soundlink 2 red lite is blinking..i try to replaced the battery but still the red light flashing.

Same for me.. even its being plugged in it blinks red fast..

To reset the device: hold the mute button 10 seconds or more. This helped me after I attempted a software update which left the speaker with all LEDs blinking.

My Bose soundlink ii has a red blinking light with certain frequent times during day. I have to reset it pressing the silence button and then returns to normal, but it’s annoying to stopping the music at random times, and feeling no confidence in the proper function of the device.
I tried replacing battery but ist the same.
help me please

first color bose soundlink II from amazon: four charges and dead.
second color bose sounklink II from amazon: a dozen charges and dead
I review phone chargers and related cables as a hobby on amazon. I know these are good supplies.
third bluetooth speaker will not be Bose.
.
For extra fun: both bose and jbl license the same connect-2 protocol. Bose and JBL will not talk to each other.

I have just bought Boss around-ear wireless II, the sound is always breaking when listening on youtube.
I installed latest drivers on PC, and headphone is also up to date.
I have dell XPS 15 9550 with Wndows 10 Pro.
What do I have to do to fix the issue?

Does anyone know of you can turn off the Bluetooth connection confirmation beep/chime? I connect white noise at night while the wife is asleep and the connection chime is so loud!

My teachers speaker is making a weird annoying sound its a deep sound that will not stop. The speaker is unresponsive. Ive held the Aux and Volume down and nothing has happened. I even held the power button down and nothing happened.

Purchased less than 8 months and the unit will not power on. About 6 hours before the issue, the unit indicated charging (amber light indicator shown). Unit was fully charged (green light indicator shown). Assuming the unit was fully charged, it would not power up. Plugged it back into a different outlet and the red indicator light flashed. Unit will not power on.

I have a brand new Bose SoundLink color ii Bluetooth Speaker It was dead when I received it and kept on a closet for years, I just updated the firmware/driver from bose website and it came to life. hope battery is still good.
Steps -
1. Connected the "dead" speaker to my laptop.
2. opened https://btu.bose.com/
3. Selected the Region.
4. It recognized the speaker and suggested to update to Version 4.0.1.
5. Once reached %100, I disconnect the speaker.
6. Connected through Bluetooth to my mobile device.
Issue resolved!

My bose is not charging nor turning on but it will be indicating red when the charger is connected i have charged it but won't get full and also when I removed the charger and put it back it shows an amber led light and the mute button is showing the white led light while the Bluetooth shows the blue led light but won't connect even when I try connecting it.....what could be wrong here?

I received my speaker as a gift almost 11 yrs ago and I'm just now having connectivity issues. Red light keeps blinking. I forgot to register it so now when I need support I'm unable to get it due to my serial number not being recognized. Please help.
