The guide here uses the screen without the frame, so until the end, you need to follow the procedure this fellow shows in his VIDEO, I'd consider looking at the IFIXIT guide for what to do as far as reprogramming the fingerprint scanner etc, that link is HERE.

Hopefully this will be all you need. And, although the cost is a little higher, your framed screen is a less risky repair to do. Just be careful, don't lose the screws, Have fun! Soooo... You pick which way to go, look at both, but I'd remove the frame from the phone as less risky than trying to get the new screen out of the frame... or, you could try sending it back and get the one with no frame, and perhaps a small rebate, since you already have the screen off.
