Is there an internal battery?
My camera will no longer turn on or display a menu with or without a charged battery and plugged into usb charging. Is there an internal battery that might need to be replaced and how would I go about doing that?

@dwjohnson30243 yes, it does. Sony part number for that is 1-756-710-12 and it looks like this
It is soldered to the mainboard
Use something like this teardown Sony Cyber-shot DSC-HX400V Teardown to get to it :-)

Soldered? So Sony doesn't consider this user replaceable?
@dwjohnson30243 Nope! OEM's do not consider anything user replaceable if they can make a buck on it.

I have this problem too. Were you able to change the battery and did it fix the issue?
