dvd drive opening by itself at intervals
My dvd drive opens by itself at intervals. Is this a defective drive or something else?

Two possibilities
a) Open Task Scheduler, and see if there any program there that will eject the cd tray every so often.
b) the eject button on the drive is either stuck down or broken. You can gently remove the plastic out facia and see if that continues to eject.
