Different model headphone but identical procedure. you can also check the wiring to the drivers (speakers) by using this guide How to repair Sony MDR-ZX100 and measure continuity with a multimeter from the connector to the drivers.

The problem is most likely with your speakers, but it is unusual that both speakers fail together. Are these speakers connected to a computer? Such have a power supply inside one of them and if that fails the speakers do not work. As most of these have an external wall-plug supply, check this (measure voltage at the output plug). If there is no voltage just replace the "wall-plug" supply with one of the same voltage and Ampere rating.
If your problem is with regular speakers that you connect to am amplifier I have no idea what may be wrong with both of them.
