The HTC One M8 battery is irremovable and bury underneath the motherboard, so if you want to replace a new one, you have to tear down the phone. Unfortunately for you the HTC One is probably the worst phone to repair ever made. HTC know the phone is so bad they will even repair your screen one time only

Battery replacement led to the right side alignment being off enough to not allow right margin keys to operate. Example, the "0" key would not work. Also, can demonstrate playing Spyder Solitaire. If upright, the right side columns are immovable. Had to uninstall Swype. Even though I have a paid version, it totally bogs down and stalls the htc 1 m8 after battery replacement. Intermittantly, keys stall in going forward or backward through programs. Will I be able to handle this for another two years? Hmmm.
