part number for LCD screen
Does anyone have the part number for the LCD screen on the SD550 camera? also when replacing the LCD do you have to separate it from a backlight or is that a complete part? thanks for the help.

kylebamrick, backlight and LCD are two separate parts. It will depend on where you purchase it. The numbers are as follows:
CM1-3263-001 LCD unit
CK9-1177-000 Panel, LCD
CM1-3109-000 Backlight unit
Verify the presence of the backlight with the vendor when you purchase the unit. Hope this helps, good luck.

thanks for the help. the camera is still taking good pictures and the backlight is glowing but the LCD screen has definitely been damaged and will only glow white with a black streak across it. any advice on reputable parts place to buy from?
those are items I usually purchase of ebay or Amazon since it allows me to use Paypal, which gives me buyer's protection. I purchased well over 50 LCD's without having a single issue. As always, buyer beware and communicate with the vendor as in what is included. Hope this helps, best of luck to you.
