I have the same problem as Angela but my screen is always black, when I try to reset it (by holding the menu and select button for 6sec) it just powers off and back on but still gives the black screen. Then it beebs 2 times, just like Angela's I suppose. I just tried to reset it via iTunes but it still shows a black screen. I can hear the clicks when I use the click wheel. What do I do ?

jamesschelfaut, there are a few possibilities, but they all require you to disassemble your iPod. It could be loose ribbon cables, corroded connectors, a bad LCD and/or bad backlight circuit. I would check it in that order. Here are the guides to work on it. Hope this helps, good luck.
