Hello folks,
my iPhone stopped working, diagnostic as follow:
Need to switch to speaker or use headphones to call, since caller can hear me, but I cant.
Please tell me that its not a chip failure.

I decided to examine the problem before ordering the new earpiece speaker, so performed the disassembly first. At Step 13, I found that one of the two screws holding the bracket was already completely loose. Everything else checked out visually (the spilled wine that I'd worried about was nowhere to be seen), so I reassembled. Bam! Working just fine, no new part needed.
worked for me also. issue was that the 2 gold coils on the back of the ear-piece (which you will see after you disassemble parts) were contracted. Simply extended them out a little by pulling with gentle force, this will re-enable them to earth properly against the gold plates.

Also worked for me. iPhone 5C, 2 years old, ear speaker stopped working.
Like GH Sales all that was required was pulling on the two gold springs on the back of the earpiece speaker. This fixed the speaker problem for me.
