The Core Lineup (Current & Historic)
1. The Pacifica Series
The Pacifica is one of the most popular guitars in history. Originally designed in Yamaha’s Hollywood custom shop in the late 1980s.
- PAC012 / PAC112: The industry standard for beginners, famous for having better hardware and wood than most rivals at the same price.
- PAC600 Series: High-performance models featuring Seymour Duncan pickups and Grover locking tuners.
- New for 2026 (SC Series): Yamaha recently expanded the line with the Pacifica SC Professional and SC Standard Plus. These feature single-cutaway bodies and "Reflectone" pickups co-developed with Rupert Neve Designs.
2. The Revstar Series
Launched in 2015 and refreshed in 2022, the Revstar is inspired by 1960s London "Cafe Racer" motorcycles.
- Design: Features chambered bodies for better resonance and reduced weight, carbon-reinforced necks, and distinctive racing-stripe finishes.
- Innovation: The Focus Switch (on Standard and Professional tiers) is a passive boost that shifts the frequency response toward a thicker, mid-heavy "vintage" sound without needing a battery.
3. The SG / SBG Series
The "Gibson Slayer" of the 1970s. Famous for its heavy mahogany body and massive sustain, it was the guitar of choice for Carlos Santana.
- SG1820: The current flagship, handmade in Japan. It retains the classic double-cutaway look but is optimized for modern reliability.
