The Porsche 944, produced from 1982 to 1991, was a front-engine, rear-transaxle sports car with a near perfect 50:50 weight distribution. It featured a Porsche-designed 2.5L four-cylinder engine which eventually evolved into 2.7L and 3.0L variants.
