Background
The FoodSaver V4980 is a food vacuum sealer used to seal food in a vacuum bag, released in 2015. It has multiple settings to keep food fresh for longer.
This version of the FoodSaver includes several new features that distinguish it from earlier models. It comes with a retractable handheld sealer on its left side, an accessory hose, a FoodSaver® Roll & Bag Starter Kit, a lunch & leftover container, and one wine stopper.
New to this device is the Pulse-Vac button that allows the user to control the amount of time the appliance vacuums the bag. This is useful for delicate foods such as chips and cereal. Also specific to this device are the full-chrome buttons to control the actions of the FoodSaver.
Identification
The FoodSaver V4980 has a stainless steel finish and measures 8 × 16.26 × 7.4 inches. The FoodSaver logo is imprinted on the front panel of the device. The model number and other product details are embossed on the bottom of the device.
