keeps beeping red light

my ps3 controller keeps beeping red light while not connecting to the console

Hi!

Sorry, do you mean the PS3 it self is keep beeping? The controller cannot give beeps, but can blink all the time.

Did you tried a new USB cable? Would do this first (if the console starts though). Is the PS3 console self OK??
