Hi!
What do you mean it self? Does it press buttons in, out it self?
If this is the case, you need clean the button circuit membrane. I would do this first, also clean it on the motherboard end!
If this failed, then you want to replace the membrane!

Hi!
You mean it won’t turn on?? What happens if you connect the USB cable? The Dualshock 3 won’t charge, unless it’s connected to a PS3. If no lights are burning when connected there, you might need to replace the USB connector. This requires soldering.
