The screen isn't working but here are no signs or external damage when plugged into an external monitor it functions perfectly normally just the screen on the laptop remains black. I'm pretty sure that it's a screen issue but I couldn't find a screen replacement.

If you need a new display you can order it directly from Apple and do the repair your self. Here's the Apple 2023 14" MacBook Pro service manual for your system. Using a flashlight held against the screen at a sharp angle are you able to see the outline of what is expected on the desktop with the external display is disconnected? It will be faint. If you do that's a sign of a backlight circuit failure which likely a short where the flex cable bends at the hinge area as the grit tends to sand off the insulation or there is a logic board issue in the BL power.
If you don't see the image that's likely a lot worse as that implies the LCD panel has fractured on the back glass (more brittle that the face) so the metal oxide traces on the glass where damaged or the flex cables from the T-CON board or the board it's self has failed.
