I tried to understand what is the problem, and maybe i have the solution too, but firstly I want to be sure of what I'm fixing, before I take another laser that costs money ☺️. The CD doesn't spin, but it seems that this is due to a lack of power coming from the mother board. On the cable that comnects the mother board to the optic group there is a little black dot. Chatgpt says that it is a burn caused by some sort of electricity malfunctions.
Can anyone help me?

Anyway, it's possible that some capacitors failed on the motherboard and prevent the Playstation it's drive from working.
Also, the laser could have failed.
But before we can tell, we really do need pictures.

My pleasure! Thanks for the photo! This is not a burn mark. This is straight from the factory. Some ribbons do have marks (rare, but it’s there). Most likely thing is that your laser just died or starting to die. I would replace the laser deck as complete. A new laser deck comes with everything, including a new ribbon cable. The cable is fused, so it cannot be replaced (everything is replaceable, but it will be VERY difficult). The only thing you need to transfer is the power cable, and that’s it.

The motherboard looks fine, but it is modded. Be aware that a broken modchip can cause issues with reading games. So it’s either your laserdeck or the mod chip.
