Most probably the power management circuit in the laptop has been damaged by the insertion of a higher voltage adapter.

The laptop will need to be opened and the motherboard checked and tested to find out which component(s) have been affected. You will need the schematics and the boardview files for the motherboard to do this.

What is the model number of the laptop? Looking online there are various models shown when searching for a N17Q4 laptop e.g. Acer Aspire 1 114-32, Acer Aspire 1 115-31 etc.

Knowing the exact model may help to find the correct schematics as they may not all have the same motherboard. The motherboard model number is printed on the board itself. It may look something like DA0Z8GMB8F0 REV:F or similar.
