Wedged Joy-con strap

Son 1 was adamant that the strap could be put on either way round. Son 2 insisted he was wrong. Son 2 was right. Can I get this off???

Hi! Can you share some pictures with us? You can take it off, but usually it does take force now. Please share some pictures with us, so we can check to get if off as safely as possible!
