Is this fixable somehow?
I have a black notch coming from the bottom of the monitor as well as a blue vertical line.

@zivusmutavi you have a broken LCD matrix. There is no repair for it but it will require a new screen. You can try and see if you can get a used one by searching with either the model number, or you can disassemble the display and get the complete manufacturer and model number of the LCD from a sticker on the back of it.

I know this happened on my HX2000 some time back where it developed a leaky line in storage (but not a full blown dead spot). I don't think it was mishandling; I just think it was an age defect, given how old it was. I ended up recycling my HX2000 and bought a open box LG given it was 10+ years old with an oddball resolution of 1600x900.
I have to add that sometimes when static charges around the monitor, it flickers for some reason. Could that also be because of the broken LCD matrix or something more?
@zivusmutavi that can come from the broken LCD screen. There are other reasons why it might do that but in your case it is most likely the bad screen.

What niche market should i look for, what are some not too complicated items to look for, and after all, what are the most sellable?
