Phone mic is not working

Can you be heard OK on a call when using the phone in loudspeaker (hands free) mode?

Is the phone in a protective case at all?

If it is try removing it from the case and check if you can be heard when on a call.

If still no good (and if it is not in a case), try using a vacuum cleaner to clear the microphone voice inlet hole, located on the bottom edge of the phone on the left side of the charge port. Sometimes the inlet hole gets blocked with lint and dust. Do not use a pin or metal probe to try and clear it as you may damage the microphone, which is directly behind it.

If still no good then the phone will need to be opened and further tested as to what is wrong.
