Missing connector on power ribbon cable replacement

iPad 2

The second generation of the iPad with Wi-Fi, GSM and CDMA models. Some models were refreshed before the iPad 3. Repair is difficult and requires heat and prying. Released on March 11th, 2011. Model numbers: A1395, A1396, and A1397.

Missing connector on power ribbon cable replacement

I'm trying to replace a power ribbon cable in an iPad 2. It came apart just fine, but I'm now trying to reconnect the button cable connector to the component board, but it seems that my replacement cable is missing the connector to do this?

Above is the component board, with an annotation pointing out where the button cable connector should be connected, and below it is the replacement button cable connector, which appears to be missing the connector to the component board.

This is the battery cable connector as shown on step 53 of this guide.

Is there something I'm missing? Any chance I've accidentally ordered the wrong replacement cable? Any help appreciated, thank you.

Can you add a picture of the two connectors, old and new, side by side? That should make it easier to compare.

@dadibrokeit just updated, I don’t know where the old cable went, but I’ve pulled an image from the guide for reference instead
