I know how to turn the volume down so I cannot hear anything incoming on my phone, but I need to know how to mute on my end.
Example: I'm calling into a Zoom meeting with lots of attendees so they always ask us to mute our end. I know how to do that through Zoom but I'm going to be dialing in via phone so I'm hoping to learn how to MUTE my MIC, so they cannot hear noise on my end.

I'd love an answer to the actual question... Can I mute the speaker? I am not going to download the Zoom app and I need to know for other phone calls, too.
@notassmart40356 ah you want to mute the mic. on your phone go to Settings, tap Sounds and vibration, and then choose a mode:
• Sound: Use the sounds, vibrations, and volume levels you have chosen in
Sound settings for notifications and alerts.
– Vibrate while ringing: Set your device to vibrate in addition to ringing when
you receive a call.
• Vibrate: Use vibration only for notifications and alerts.
• Mute: Set your device to make no sounds.
– Temporary mute: Set a time limit for muting the device.
