I got my first Apple in 1979. Wrote stock market analyze programs. Went Apple professional in 1984. Opened local Apple type repair store in '93. Authorized Apple VAR 1996. Authorized UMAX (Apple Clones) service provider. Ran my own Apple type store for ten years till heart problems. Now that the surgeons have rebuilt my plumbing I'm back at it full time. I've enjoyed the new customers from iFixit sending in their machines on the tough problems. I fancy myself as the "Dr. House of Macs". I want the hard problems, ones that interest me. The work is a constant challenge and I learn new things everyday. Researching questions keeps me up to date and has improved my diagnostic skills tremendously.
Since iFixit has a "Kid Fixers" team, I thought it is...

It's time to speak out for your right to repair
We have a chance to guarantee our right to repair electronic
equipment—like smartphones, computers, and even farm equipment. This is a once-in-a-generation
chance to protect local repair jobs—the corner mom-and-pop repair shops that
keep getting squeezed out by manufacturers.
Join the cause and tell your state representative to support Right to Repair. Tell them you believe repair should be fair, affordable, and accessible. Stand up for your right to repair!
