Laptop not turning on ,not taking power

If the laptop doesn't indicate that it is charging when the charger is connected, first check that the charger is OK and that 19.5V DC is measured at the charger's output plug at the end of the cable. If you don't have a DMM (digital multimeter) try using a compatible known working charger and check if that works.

If the charger tests OK next check if the DC-In jack (supplier example only) is OK by checking that there is continuity between the input side and the cable plug output side of the jack. Sometimes the inner +ve pin connector breaks internally in the jack, preventing power from getting to the motherboard to either charge the battery or to turn on the laptop.

Here's the service manual for the laptop that will help with this. Go to p.37 to view the procedure to remove/replace the power connector (aka DC-In jack). The supplier shown in the link above is an example only. If the jack is faulty search online for Dell Vostro 15 3568 DC-In jack to get results for suppliers that suit you best.

If the DC-In jack is OK then there is a problem on the motherboard and further testing would be required to find out what's wrong.
