Bosch dishwasher will turn on but cannot complete cycle

I have a Bosch dishwasher that will turn on and start running for a few minutes but never for the full cycle. It displays "Fault E05" on the screen. I have tried turning it on and off as well as disconnecting it from the circut breaker and waiting for a few minutes before starting it on again. Any suggestions would be appreciated!

@danj -- Do you think this is a part error code or simply something wrong with the software?

@teardowns101 - Did you chase down Fault E05 error?

@teardowns101 depends on the model of your DW. the error code can be a faulty float switch, a faulty temp sensor or a power module failure. What model is your DW?

Yes, I did and it said it might be a power module faliure but I don't know why it would be able to turn on and work for a short period of time if the power module was broken

Unforunately, when an appaliance repair person came (I hoped to simply replace the float switch) he explained that the power module was broken (as the link I posted for error code E05 suggested). Apparently codes E05 and E5 have different meanings:

For anybody else with issues invloving a Bosch Dishwasher

Error code for E5 is for the float switch which can be purchased here: https://www.reliableparts.com/product/in...

Error Code E05 is for the power module which is difficult to replace and is usually very expensive (repair quote was $580 for a $900 dishwasher).

The repair man did restart the system for me (https://howtofixit.net/bosch-dishwasher-...) and then this dishwasher ran for 1 cycle and then subsequently died and I was not able to enter service mode. Likely this is a computer error, but since it will take around a week to get parts (and possibly have to replace other components as well) this dishwasher is going to be replaced...
