phone has broken in half?

so my duct/gorilla tape did not hold for this ‘final fall’:0\. the top/screen half has broken away, the little cable(?) connection has snapped. was to use phone as storage until i transfer contacts/pics to new device or pc at a later time. can i just have to get another(used!) lg vn220 and move the *sim* over to it?? thank you in advance for any guidence:o|…. (tues.-jan.26) so here’s a photo of ‘the situation’. can the ribbon cable be spliced or should it be replaced.

The best option would be if you can get another center brace, either by getting someone's old phone that he thinks it's useless because it's dead, or you can buy it online at GLOBAL DIRECT PARTS, or on eBay, etc., the difference is going to be that buying it online it's going to be quite difficult figuring it out if you're not experienced in electricals, vs. getting it used it's %95 done, you just have to assemble the top and the bottom side to it.
