iPhone not charging
i soldered a small wire across the fuse and still the i phone only charges when powered off, anyone with a solution?
and if i have to change the fuse where would i get it from? and what are its specifications.

The appropriate part number (Littelfuse Inc) seems to be 0435002 (http://www.littelfuse.com/data/en/Data_S...) for 3G and 0467002 (http://www.littelfuse.com/data/en/Data_S...) for 3GS.
A small note about 3GS: the above fuse size is 0603, a little smaller of the original. The correct size is 0805 (2012 Metric), but unfortunately Littelfuse doesn't have this size available. An alternative could be MFU08052 (http://www.vishay.com/docs/28747/mfuseri...) from Vishay/Beyschlag Inc. and all this information is right here.
The other issue that you may have if all your fuses are okay and if your battery is new, might be the power charger/USB controller IC LTC4088 You can check on the datasheet right here I believe pin 7 and 10 if checked with a multimeter, should show if it does or doesn't work. Anyhow, good Luck.

i have one more thing tody just hapened,i pluged in my iphone 3g with the fuse jumped, and it charges while its on but it stil doesnt connect to itunes or show the charging process on the battery icon,it remains white.any comments?
what remains white? the battery symbol or the screen? Have you changed the dock connector?
the battery symbol in the upper right corner remains white,i changed the dock connecter no changes.
