Possible water damage on display/keyboard connectors?

Not so long ago, I purchased a faulty 2015 retina MacBook from eBay that happened to have an EFI lock. There was no explanation to other faults with the machine besides the EFI lock. I wrote an exploit to unlock non-T2 machines, but now I’m kinda stuck trying to repair the rest of the machine, that being the keyboard, the trackpad and the display.

Now the keyboard and the trackpad actually work because for 1, the trackpad clicks and 2, I’m able to reset the SMC. When connected to an external display, macOS alerts me that a keyboard isn’t detected and starts looking for a bluetooth one.

The display is also faulty. At least the output given to it is. In the image, there’s a white screen that progressively forms this weird shadow border effect at the edges of the display that you can’t see in the image.

Could both of these issues be a result of water damage on the connectors for the display and the keyboard/trackpad?
