my film door latch got messed up and doesn’t close properly and long story short i need to replace it. i bought a replacement door on ebay, how should i go about replacing the film door?

Are you able to lift the knob up and can see the latch within the body raise up?

yes i am able to lift the knob up but im not sure which latch you're referring to

open the film door all the way. Remove the door by pulling the release pin in a downward direction.
