Picture keeps going black

Jarquisha Williams you need to give us a but more information. Things like when does it go black, how long does it take to turn black and does it ever come back on, will be helpful. Also, verify your make and model and let us know what you have tried.

The first thing to check would be to use a flashlight and shine it at an angle against the screen when it has turned black. If you still make out silhouettes etc. you know that the issue is your backlight. That could be a power board or backlight array issue.
