drive doesn't read some game discs

cletusdorris, could be the game discs being dirty etc, could also be a dirty laser. Worst case scenario would be that your laser is starting to fail. I'd suggest that you:
1) Use a commercially available lens cleaner and see if that helps
2) Clean the laser of the drive manually.
3) Replace the laser assembly.
There is also a way of adjusting the lasers but it will requires some knowledge and a multimeter to do so. Start with the easy things.
