Your between a rock and a hard place here ;-{
If you can't see the drive and the Ethernet/WiFi ports are working you'll need to take the HD out and drive connecting it via USB or FireWire port of your mac system.
At this point the you could try running Disk Utilities but any data on the drive will be lost as the format of the drive is unique to the Time Capsule. You should be able to format the disk for Mac OS and test it. More likely the drive is gone.

Of course you have rebooted the TC.
Tried an Ethernet connected reset: ''
- Press the reset for 1sec'' which will restore the passwords to default for 5min..
- or press reset for 10sec to go back to default setup. This will not harm the files stored in the drive. Redo the setup of the TC as it will become available after a reset when connected by Ethernet. After the reset you should be able to unplug the Ethernet cable and go back to wireless.
If there are physical problems with the drive, or cables software will not cure a hardware problem.
You need 3rd Party Mac Data Recovery Data software. To recover valuable data. Ones that I have found useful are Data Rescue 3, and DiskWarrior.
DiskWarrior can often resurrect mugged Master Directory Data. DiskWarrior is not a disk repair program in the conventional sense. It does not attempt to solve all of the possible problems that can occur with a disk. It specializes in eliminating directory errors -- the most common problems Mac OS users have with their disks.
Data Rescue 3 is the only utility that focuses on data recovery as opposed to hard drive repair.
Data recovery software must be run from another Mac, via a cable or the drive may need to be removed and placed in an external case.
