So the other day my iPhone turned off. I tried the "Hard reset" to turn it on, but the home button is buggy, and it won't work. I tried iTunes, but it doesn't show up. I don't know what to do. The Apple "Genius" Techs. say it's really dead, but I want to know if I can repair this, and how I would do that.

P K, the very first thing you should fix is the home button, the battery and double check the dock connector as well.

Try replacing the battery, but if that doesn't work, you probably have a defective logic board.
