Phone will not turn on

No matter what you do, the phone will not turn on.

Low battery

If the phone will not turn on, the battery may simply be drained or bad. Plug phone into an AC adapter and see if anything happens. If the phone will no longer charge, the battery must be replaced.

Disconnected battery

If plugging the phone in does not work, the battery may be disconnected. Be sure that the battery is secured into the phone. See Battery Replacement Guide.

Unresponsive power button

If the phone will not turn on, the problem could be with the power button. Try disassembling the power button. See Power Button Guide.

Unresponsive screen

If the problem lies with the screen, then the phone requires technical support for screen replacement.

Battery will not charge

The battery will not charge when hooked up to the charger.

Disconnected charger

If the battery will not charge, the problem may be that the charger is disconnected. Make sure that it is secured in both the phone and the power source.

NOTE: Be sure power source is fully functional.

Disconnected battery

If the battery will not charge, it may be disconnected. Be sure that the battery is secured and connected to the phone. See Battery Replacement Guide.

Dead battery

If the battery will not charge, it may be dead and a replacement battery will be needed.

Faulty charge port

If the battery will not charge, the problem could be that the charge port is faulty or disconnected. See Charge Port Replacement Guide.

Cannot hear through earpiece

You cannot hear through the earpiece during calls, voicemail, etc.

Low volume

If you cannot hear through the earpiece, the volume may be too low. Increase the volume using the vertical keys on the side of the phone. It may also help to make sure the volume keys are unobstructed. See Case Replacement Guide.

Poor signal strength

If you cannot hear through the earpiece, the signal strength may be poor. If indoors move near a window or go outside. If outdoors move to a different area.

Broken speaker

If you cannot hear through the earpiece, the speaker may be broken and requires technical support for speaker replacement.

Screen will not display anything

Nothing will show up on the screen.

Poor signal strength

If the screen will not display anything, the signal strength may be poor. If indoors move near a window or go outside. If outdoors move to a different area.

Loose screen connection or broken screen

If the screen will not display anything, the screen connection may be loose or it may be broken. This requires technical support for screen replacement.

Phone will not send/receive calls

The phone cannot send or receive any calls.

Low battery

If the phone will not send/receive any calls, the battery may simply be drained or bad. Plug phone into an AC adapter and see if anything happens. If the phone will no longer charge, the battery must be replaced.

If the phone will not send/receive any calls, the signal strength may be poor. If indoors move near a window or go outside. If outdoors move to a different area.

Unresponsive keypad

If the phone will not send/receive any calls, the keypad may be unresponsive.

Obstructed antenna

If the phone will not send/receive any calls, the antenna may be obstructed. Make sure that the top of the phone is not blocked by a hand or other object.

Keypad will not respond

The keypad will not respond when pressed.

Low battery

If the keypad will not respond, the battery may simply be drained or bad. Plug phone into an AC adapter and see if anything happens. If the phone will no longer charge, the battery must be replaced.

Loose/broken buttons

If the keypad will not respond, the buttons may be broken or loose. See Keypad Replacement Guide.

Sticky keys

Make sure keypad is clean and in proper position. See Keypad Replacement Guide.

Phone will not access voice mail

The phone will not access voice mail

No mail service

If the phone will not access voice mail, you may not have mail service. Call wireless provider.

Mail service not set up

If the phone will not access voice mail, the mail service may not be set up. Call wireless provider.

Voice mail number not saved in phone

If the phone will not access voice mail, the voice mail number may not be saved in the phone. Press Menu, go to Messages > Voice messages > Voice mailbox number. Enter voice mailbox number; press OK.

Saved voice mail number is incorrect

If the phone will not access voice mail, the saved voice mail number may be incorrect. Call wireless provider.

Incorrect password

If the phone will not access voice mail, the password may be incorrect. Call wireless provider.

Receiver cannot hear broadcasted voice

The person receiving your call cannot hear your voice.

Blocked microphone

If the receiver cannot hear your voice, the microphone may be blocked. Make sure that nothing is obstructing the microphone.

If the receiver cannot hear your voice, the microphone may be loose or broken and the phone requires technical support for microphone replacement.

Phone is getting poor reception

Calls may be crackling or silent.

Poor signal strength

If the phone is getting poor reception, the signal strength may be poor. If indoors move near a window or go outside. If outdoors move to a different area.

Obstructed antenna

If the phone is getting poor reception, the antenna may be obstructed. Make sure the top of the phone is not blocked.

Phone casing is cracked

There are cracks in the phone case.

Cannot access memory card

Can't get to the memory card.

SIM card is unresponsive

If you cannot access the memory card, the SIM card may be unresponsive. See SIM Card Installation Guide.

Motherboard is bad

Unresolved problems continue to occur.
