Hi! I’m Andrew Hopwood and I am a junior at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University majoring in Aerospace Engineering - aero track.

I hope to work for an aviation company designing aircraft or maybe even work on the aerodynamics of cars. I’ve always been fascinated with high performance aircraft and hopefully I can contribute to the next generation of fighter aircraft.

Some of my hobbies and interests include cars, planes, computers, video games, reading, and learning how things work. I also intend to set about further into 3D printing.

Projects

• Designed and built an automated can crusher with a team of 4
• Analyzed different airfoils with XFLR5/XFOIL and with a team designed an aircraft to test and analyze.

Repair Experience

• I’ve fixed two window regulators on my 2000 Honda Accord and I plan on fixing more issues with it
• I fixed the camera on my phone
• I’ve troubleshot and fixed computers
