I had the same problem, no solution from the internets worked. What I did was to start my computer with Ubuntu to check if the hardware was OK, which it was. Then back to Windows 10 and the speakers were working again, Apparently, Windows skiped to comunicate to the speakers to put them on “working mode”, but saved somewere in its memory that it has, so no matter what I did, Windows continued to “think”: I already told the speakers to work ,so they should be ready to work. And no matter what reinstalation, update or restart you do, Windows didn´t bother to comunicate with the hardware again to check if indeed it was in working mode. Ubuntu did it as soon I started with it, and left the hardware on that state, so when I went back to Windows it was properly set. Ubuntu 1 - Windows 0
