Hello Rodney, have you tried resetting your settings? You can reset all settings, or just reset your network settings. This will erase any saved wifi or hot spot connections but might fix your problem. I would also try uninstalling and reinstalling the apps. I have had several apps do this to me in the past and that always seems to help. You could also try signing out of the itunes store, then deleting the apps, and then re-sign in and re-download the apps. Some data might be lost, but most apps have an account linked to them to save your data remotely. Let me know if that helps.

So your old broken screen works fine on your phone right? I think it could be ios issue. I was havingproblems with a home button on an iPhone 6, screen worked great on every other iPhone I put it on but any screen I put on the original the home button just wouldnt work. I restored, updated, and bam. Magically fixed. I read that some after market screens were having issues with some iOS 11 updates. I would update the the newest software and see what happens. You should see the problem solved after an update and possible restore to factory settings. In my opinion I would restore to factory settings. Only to see if that fixes the problem. Then if it does, restore from previous backup.

Did you recently drop it? Could something have come loose? I would plug it in and leave it overnight and see if that works. It could just be very dead. Also, plug it into a computer, see if it is recognized. Then we can tell if it’s screen or phone. If that doesn’t work, let me know

I’m having similar issues with 2 6 plus’ i have. It sounds like for you, something dislodged from the board when you dropped it. Which means it could be a board level problem. But before we think that, have you checked all the connectors? I would disconnect the battery(always first), then disconnect your screen, check the volume button and power button connectors. Disconnect them and reconnect them. Then inspect the ribbon cable near the battery connector. That is what provides power to your board from the lightning connector. Disconnect that and reconnect it. Then I would proceed with reassembly; plug your screen back in, and then plug your battery in and turn on. If still nothing, maybe try to power cycle it, or recalibrate the battery. To do that, disconnect the battery, then press the power button and home button for about 20 seconds or longer to drain all the power, then reconnect battery and plug in for a few mins to the wall, not the computer. Let charge for a little and see what happens.

I think it has to do with the frame putting pressure on the cable that connects the LCD to the board of your computer. Do they appear in different places if you hold a different spot when you open your laptop? I think its from when you open your laptop. I had a Toshiba that had the slide lock right in the center. Over time, I developed lines right through my screen in that area. I noticed if I pushed on that spot and kinda wiggled, it make them either worse or better. Does moving your screen, or putting pressure in certain spots make it better or worse?

Be sure to do the iTunes trick because this will tell you whether or not its just the screen. Otherwise, I would open up your phone and check to see if maybe one of the connectors is unplugged or damaged. I just read you replaced the battery and now its having a hard time charging. Do you have a voltmeter? I would use it to check your charger, then check the battery, and then check the board itself. Open up the phone, you can take the screen off for this if you want, I do because less risk of damaging it. Now disconnect the battery. Plug in your phone to a power source. Take the voltmeter and touch the connectors to the battery terminal. Youll have to move them around alittle until you see voltage, if you do. This can help determine if its the board, battery or the charger.

Sounds like you damaged the LCD underneath the glass. The black dots could be bleeding from the lcd. I would say maybe the cable became dislodged when dropped, but it sounds more like the cracks were putting pressure on the LCD and it finally broke

Have you checked your charger? Try plugging it into different charging cables, and boxes. Can also use a voltmeter to check that there's power coming from your charging cable. Also, check your charging port. You'd be surprised how dirty the charging port can get on iphones. If you can see lint or other debris inside, take a toothpick or something similar and get that out. If that doesn't resolve, you'll have to open it up and use a voltmeter to make sure there's power going to the board.

Check the connector ribbons on your screen. Make sure none of them are ripped. Then check the connectors themselves, on the screen and the board, make sure there's no damage to those. If there isnt any visible damage, then try reinstalling the screen. Be sure to click one side of the connector and then the other side until it clicks in completely. Don't push the middle. And then power cycle your phone. I think your data cable popped off which can result in black or white lines in the display. Did you keep the battery unplugged while you re-installed the screen?
