背景
Windows 操作系统起源于 1985 年 11 月发布的 Windows 1。该操作系统曾与 Apple 的操作系统展开竞争，但 Windows 1 的市场表现并不理想。由于各项改进——包括键盘快捷键、内存扩展，以及将平铺窗口改为重叠窗口——Windows 2 取得了更大的成功。正是由于最后一项改变，Apple 对 Microsoft 提起了版权侵权诉讼。
随后，Microsoft 在 1990 年发布了 Windows 3，带来了虚拟内存、保护模式以及用户界面的改进。自那时起，Windows 操作系统经历了多次升级，演变成了目前的（截至 2023 年）Windows 11 操作系统。
Windows 11 发布于 2021 年，旨在为用户提供无缝的设备集成体验。用户可以通过 Windows 11 将 Android 手机连接到电脑，从而在电脑桌面上查看通知、短信和通话记录。
Microsoft 还为服务器和移动设备提供了独立的操作系统，包括 Windows Server、Windows Home Server、Windows CE、Windows Mobile 和 Windows Phone。
