Information and Background
The BlackBerry smartphone was released in July 2007 as the first BlackBerry to support calls outside the U.S. It is supported by Verizon Wireless and Sprint.
The phone has a two-and-a-half inch, 320 x 240 resolution screen, a QWERTY keyboard, a trackball, an inherent GPS, and a microSD slot. It weighs 4.6 oz and is 4.49"x 2.6"x 0.55". It comes in 3 colors: black, red, and silver.
The Blackberry World Edition 8830 has two distinguishing features: 1) "World Edition" is printed under the bottom left corner of the screen, and 2) the model number can be found under the battery.
