The link for the replacing the charging assembly is for removing the motherboard. Replacing the charging assembly does not require removal of the motherboard.

Here is what I did. Using the instructions for removing the mother board stop after step 6, "Removing the Back Chassis". Then you undo the antenna clip at the USB assembly side only, and disconnect the two cables on the USB assembly that connect it to the motherboard. Then as per your instructions in the tear down “Use spudger to remove the USB board with proper strength because the USB board is stuck with glue.”
