This guide shows how to replace the optical drive for the Lenovo IdeaPad 110-15IBR. The guide shows how to remove the back panel, remove the screws holding the drive in place, and removing the optical drive from the docking port.

    • Before you proceed, make sure your computer is turned off and it's not connected to any power source.

    • Using #1 Phillips screwdriver remove the 13 (9mmx6mm) screws holding the back.

    • Gently pry the back off using a plastic opening tool, starting from one of the corners.

    • Careful not to pull the drive straight up or towards the device, otherwise damage might be done to the drive connector.

I think there is an easier way to remove the optical drive. You only need to remove the screw in the middle near optical drive. After this you can pull out the otpical drive.
