Before you begin, determine which tool is best to use for tapping out the dent, as this depends on the size of the dent. For this guide, the handle of a screwdriver was used, but a soft mallet would work well too.

Use the hair dryer on the dented area for a duration of 3 minutes.
Move the hair dryer around the dented area to avoid heat damage to your suitcase. Wear heat-resistant gloves and check the area periodically to ensure it is not overheating.

Open the suitcase and use a screwdriver handle or soft mallet to tap out the dent about 3-5 times.
The screwdriver is being used to shape the dent back to its original shape towards the outside of the luggage.
