The toy is model 80-154500 and was released in summer of 2014. The Record and Learn Kidistudio is manufactured by Vtech, who makes toys that are intended to be both educational and entertaining, though parents will find it is more entertainment than educational. Parents should be aware that the recordings can not be saved nor can new songs be download to the device. Except for the three sliding modulators in the center of the toy, which are ½in. in length, there are no small pieces on the device. If the batteries are not loaded correctly or securely in place, the toy will not work. There are no recalls of the toy.
